ca sa o pot instala in retea deci folosindu-ma de placa de retea de la imprimanta HP JetDirect conform tutorialelor de la HP trebuie sa aflu IP cu care vine aceasta placa de retea ca sa pot crea portul TCP/IP ... etc etc sa continui instalare
DAR daca va uitati in imaginile atasate NU imi pare acel IP in Configuration Page de la 8150
La 8150 AICI cred ca este problema.
Neinitializarea placii de retea -placa de retea defecta sau (mai putin probabil) placa de retea oprita din meniul imprimantei.

Banuiesc ca asta este modelul
La 4100 vezi sa ai IP-ul imprimantei in plaja ta de IP-routabile interne (adica ceva de genul 192.168.0.xxx) si IP-ul respectiv sa fie liber
IP-ul ar trebui sa il poti modifica direct din butoanele imprimantei (daca HP-ul nu a modificat politica de utilizare de pe vremea cand ma jucam eu cu ele)
Sper ca am putut sa iti fiu de folos.
DA am rezolvat conform acestui tutorial :
cu mentiunea de rigoare ... DA era dat disable la placa de retea din meniu imprimanta ... absurd dar dar asa am cumparat-o 
To configure TCP/IP from the printer:
(The star means selected or entered; without the star the choice you make is not saved; hit enter to get the star and save your choice)
1. Hit the offline button - go offline
2. Hit the menu button until you see AUX IO MENU
3. Hit the item button until you see CFG NETWORK = NO
4. Hit the + button to get CFG NETWORK = YES
5. Hit the enter button to get CFG NETWORK = YES *(this saves your choice)
6. Hit the item button to get CFG TCP/IP = NO
7. Hit the + button to get CFG TCP/IP = YES
8. Hit the enter button to get CFG TCP/IP = YES *(this saves your choice)
9. BOOTP=NO
10. Hit the item button to get IP BYTE 1 = 0 (This could be any number between 0 and 255, hitting plus increases the number in steps of 1 hold the plus button down to automatically advance the numbers. Hold down the shift button red letters to make numbers go backwards this is where you set the ip address of the printer. This number will be the first number in your address like this: If your IP is 192.168.1.1, this will be the 192 part. Before you hit the the item button again to get to IP BYTE 2 = 0 (or what ever number it is set to) be sure you have hit enter to change the entry and save it.
11. Hit the item button to get IP BYTE 2 = 0
12. Hit the item button to get IP BYTE 3 = 0
13. Hit the itme button to get IP BYTE 4 = 0
14. As you continue to hit the item button you will get something like this SM BYTE = or LS BYTE = or GW BYTE = these stand for Subnet Mask, GateWay, SysLoGserver. You may want to set these too. Again, be sure to hit enter to get the * which means you have saved the value. You can always test your entry procedure by using the test menu above that will tell you if you successfully changed the ip address, subnet mask, and defalult gateway.
Le-am rezolvat pe ambele ... odata ce am inteles meniul imprimantei totul a mers struna al ambele si la 4100 si la 8150
Mai am o intrebare
eu mai am un Xerox DocuColor 12
problema nu e la servici la servici folosesc ca workstation un Windoze XP dar acasa am macul si de cele mai multe ori lucrez de acasa anumite chestii (creatie) si dupa cum stiti ca sa verific aranjarea in pagina trebuie sa instalez o imprimanta virtuala (ps) cu driverele de la DC 12 / Fiery X12
zis si facut am intrat la Xerox pe site :

ce sa fac in continuare ????
am intrat in Printer and Fax si nimic cum adaug aceasta imprimanta virtuala ? ce fac ... nu gasesc nimic nici in faimoeul Common UNIX Printing System : http://localhost:631
