Salut Macuseri. Recent am achizitionat un PowerMac G5 2,3 (late 2005, identificator M9591LL/A) de care sunt FOARTE multumit. Dar intodeauna e loc de mai bine :D Configuratia actuala e urmatoarea:
- Processor Dual-core 2.3GHz
- Main memory 4 Gb of 533MHz DDR2 SDRAM (PC2-4200)
- Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 6600 with 256MB of GDDR SDRAM
- Display Dell U2711 27” Resolution: 2560 x 1440
- Hard drive 1 Tb WD si un 500 Gb WD
- Optical drive 16x SuperDrive
- MacOSX 10.5.8 Leopard, Adobe CS 4; Quark 8; Perian s.a.m.d.
Am inceput sa ma interesez de o solutie wireless dar momentan nu am gasit nimica. Aceiasi problema si pe partea de video. Vin la voi cu intrebarea: ce mai poate fi facut pentru acest Mac ?

update: am instalat un card Placa PCI Express la 1x eSATA, 1x SATA, Delock 70157/b] de la conectica.ro. Am legat un Hdd extern prin e-sata si merge brici mai am să ii indes un hdd suplimentar

8GB RAM si un RAID card ii cam lipsesc ca sa fie blana..

Are 5 Gb ram si merge brici. E drept ca OS-ul e instalat pe un WD Raptor de 74 GB.

- Processor Dual-core 2.3GHz

- Optical drive 16x SuperDrive
- stik wireless Hama
- MacOSX 10.5.8 Leopard, Adobe CS 4; Quark 8; Perian s.a.m.d.

Pentru viitor:
- un card wireless TP-link (vreau sa renunț la stik-ul Hama)
- un SSD de 120 Gb pentru OS
- 2x2 Tb WD Green pentru stocare.
G5-ul il foloseste fimiu pentru editare foto si browsing in interes scolar. Pentru distractie are MBP-ul i7 early 2011 sau PS3-ul :D

SSD-ul pe SATA1 cum ai tu acolo este aproape inutil.

Mulțumesc. Prefer totusi cardul TP-link (merge nativ pe Mac) pentru ca are 3 antene si stie de wireless N. Si pretul e OK.

am avut ssd pe un latop cu sata1. este o diferenta considerabila fata de hdd.

Eu am acum ssd pe sata1 în Macbook și se simte, la ssd contează timpul de acces care este aproape zero. Verifică să nu ai probleme cu ssd+Leopard (nu poți pune SL pe PPC din păcate).
